This web page describes how and why the personal data of users (hereinafter, also ‘users’) visiting the website www.unar.it (hereinafter, also the ‘Website’) are processed.

Type of data and the purpose of processing

Navigation data

The computer systems and software procedures used to operate this website acquire, during their normal operation, some personal data whose transmission is implicit in the use of Internet communication protocols. 
This information is not collected to be associated with identified interested parties, but by its very nature could, through processing and association with data held by third parties, allow users to be identified.
This category of data includes IP addresses or the domain names of the computers used by users who connect to the site, the URI (Uniform Resource Identifier) addresses of the resources requested, the time of the request, the method used to submit the request to the server, the size of the file obtained in response, the numerical code indicating the status of the response given by the server (successful, error, etc.) and other parameters relating to the user's operating system and computer environment.
These data are used for the sole purpose of obtaining anonymous statistical information on the use of the site and to check its correct functioning.
The processing of user data (within the limits just highlighted) is therefore necessary for the pursuit by UNAR of legitimate interests related to the performance of organizational and technical activities carried out for these purposes, pursuant to Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR.
The data in question could also be used, at the request of the competent judicial authority and with the guarantees provided by law, to ascertain responsibility in case of any computer crimes committed against the site. 

Data provided voluntarily by the user

The optional, explicit and voluntary sending of messages to UNAR's contact addresses indicated on the Site, involves the acquisition of the sender's contact data, necessary to respond to the requests forwarded, as well as all personal data included in the communications, the processing of which is carried out to allow the Owner to provide a service to the user, pursuant to art. 6, par. 1, lett. b) of the GDPR. UNAR invites users, in requests for services, not to send names or other personal data of third parties that are not strictly necessary.
It should also be noted that the completion and submission of forms used to report discrimination on UNAR's website may involve the acquisition of personal data that will be processed by UNAR in the performance of its public interest tasks, pursuant to art. 6, par. 1, lett. e) of the GDPR. In this regard, for further information please refer to the specific information published in the pages of the Site specifically prepared.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that websites send to users’ devices after being visited; they are then stored on users’ devices and sent back to the same websites when users next visit them. While browsing, the User may also receive on his/her browser cookies sent by parties other than the owner of the website visited (so-called “third-party” cookies).
This Website uses:

Technical cookies

This Website uses the following technical cookies: navigation or session cookies, which guarantee the normal navigation and use of the Website, through the memorization of the user's navigation preferences; functionality cookies, which allow the user to navigate according to a series of selected criteria (for example, the language, the appearance of pop-ups) in order to improve the level of service provided.
These cookies, used to facilitate navigation and to provide the services provided by the Site, once stored on the user's browser, in some cases are automatically deleted at the end of the session, in others may remain for a variable period of time up to a maximum of 12 months, without prejudice to the possibility for the user to directly provide for the cancellation, if desired, in the manner indicated in the section "How to disable and delete cookies".
This Site also uses analytical cookies of third parties which collect, in an anonymous form (by masking portions of the User's IP address), statistical and aggregate information on how users navigate the site (for example, number of pages visited and accessed, time spent on the site). These cookies, used directly by the operator of the Site, are assimilated to technical cookies and their use does not require the acquisition of the user's consent. Furthermore, the above analytical cookies, once stored on the user's browser, can remain there for up to a maximum of thirteen months, without prejudice to the possibility for the user to decide to disable their use on their browser at any time (see below).

Third-party profiling cookies and other tracking tools

By accessing this Site, it is also possible to receive in your browser profiling cookies of third parties (in particular, YouTube), if the user consents to the use of specific functions provided by the operator of the Site, to make available within the Site some content available on social channel of YouTube UNAR.
For this reason, when accessing the Site, a banner is proposed to inform the user and allow him/her to consent to the reception of such cookies, by clicking on the "Accept all" button, or to refuse the installation of such cookies, by selecting "Reject all".
To better manage his preferences, the user can click on the "Cookie preferences" button and get more information on individual cookies, in order to give his consent in a granular way for the display of some personalized content of UNAR social channel published on Youtube platforms, directly within the Site.
The choices expressed in relation to the these cookies are in turn stored in the user's browser using special technical cookies and remain for a maximum of six months, in order to avoid, for this period, the repetition of the same request, as well as allow a more expeditious navigation, without prejudice to the possibility for the user to provide directly to the cancellation, in the manner indicated in the section "How to disable and delete cookies".
Moreover, within some pages of the Site it is possible to find spaces dedicated to allow the use of functions of other websites, such as YouTube videos or the so-called social buttons, i.e. icons that represent some social network platforms (in particular, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram), and that allow users who are browsing to interact directly with a "click" with the same websites.
On this regard, the Site does not share any navigation information or user data with the sites accessible in this way, but the use of these features by the user involves the possibility for the user to receive in his browser also non-technical cookies from the owners of such sites, so-called "third parties".
UNAR does not have access to the information collected by the aforementioned cookies, which are used in full autonomy by the "third party" managers. Recipients of treatment

Exclusively for the purposes specified above, the personal data collected and processed in this way may be communicated, in accordance with current regulations, to external companies commissioned by UNAR in order to carry out services of various kinds, such as, for example, the maintenance and support of the Site and its services, which will be appropriately designated as responsible for treatment with a specific contract. The personal data provided are not in any way diffused.

Data retention period

The personal data provided by the user and/or collected by UNAR through the use of the Site, will be kept for the time strictly necessary to carry out the services requested and to carry out the related technical and security operations, as well as for the time necessary to implement the functions and tasks attributed to UNAR, in any case, in compliance with national and EU regulations in force.

Place and method of data processing, nature of data conferment and consequences in case of refusal

The processing operations connected to the web services offered by the Site take place at the offices of the Data Controller and are carried out only by technical personnel authorised to do so.
Personal data are processed by automated tools for the time strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which they were collected and will not be transferred to non-European third countries.
UNAR implements appropriate measures to ensure that personal data are processed appropriately and in accordance with the purposes for which they are handled. UNAR employs appropriate organizational, technical and physical security measures to protect information from alteration, destruction, loss, theft or improper or illegitimate use.
Apart from what has been specified for navigation data and cookies, the user is free to provide his or her personal data for the purposes indicated in this information notice, but failure to do so may make it impossible to obtain the requested service.

Rights of the Data Subject

The interested party has the right, at any time, to obtain confirmation of the existence or not of data concerning him. He/she also has the right to request, in the forms provided for by law, the correction of inaccurate personal data and the integration of incomplete data and to exercise any other right under Articles 18 to 22 of the GDPR, where applicable.
